Did you hear? This year, the GOP voter registration passed democrat voter registration for the first time since 2007. If you read the Deuce Ralston blog they’d say that the surge in Nevada Republican voter registration was some sort of symbolic win for the Republican Party. It is this kind of stupidity that makes me think deuce is writing his stuff in a blackout. I can’t recall a time in my political life (spanning almost 30 years) that a political party has been on the butt-end of so many 70% issues that the democrat party are.

Just a couple examples of why: the dems are suing to stop law enforcement and border enforcement – and the obama judges doing obama judge things are driving the support UP not down as people resent dictators, even as the democrats run their “no kings” protests! It seems that the ability of deuce and his buddies in the media to control narratives has been decimated… yet people like him call parents that want their daughters safe from predators or getting injured by boys in girls sports nazis. Donald Trump campaigned on Securing the border, cleaning up the streets and restoring girl’s sports – all issues with 70+% support and all issues the democrats are fighting against!

While a shrinking tiny minority within the GOP are still “Never-Trumpers”, and they look like idiots. As for this blogger, I voted for Trump, told other people to and did in three straight general elections because you support the nominees of the Republican Party. Primaries are for family fights. General elections are for the bigger battles with the other guys.

But I digress. I checked the Nevada Secretary of State’s Website and this is what I found:

Dems 597,982. Reps 600,266. NPP 775,082.

Not Long ago I remember being told that the magic number for a Republican Presidential Candidate to have a chance in Nevada was trying to shrink the deficit to about 50K statewide. But, you know a 53,000 swing from that line is just symbolic.

I am not surprised to see that NPP are the biggest number. I look at people like MTG and AOC on camera and get why sane rational people don’t identify with either party.

Clark County has an astounding 72% of Nevada’s Voters with a staggering 589,000 of the NPP voters in the state.

Washoe is a distant second at around 16%. The Washoe GOP would tell you that Washoe keeps staying blue despite a 9500 count GOP voter registration advantage because of election fraud, and I would tell you from having seen the Washoe GOP in action for 5 years they need to look no further than themselves. The dems only need to film them in action and don’t need to bother doing much else. Further note that NPP voters that are very sensitive to insanity and extremism outnumber Republicans in Washoe by 9,000 that is plenty enough to swing that county any time in any election.

Blaming election fraud is easy and intellectually lazy, looking at your own bad behavior and changing what you are doing takes actual work.

There are a couple of reasons why the democrats enjoy a near supermajority in the legislature today and they are 100% the fault of GOP leaders. For a history lesson, let’s look at former Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons who was in office in 2007, he was a disaster (think fraud investigations, corruption and was such a clueless idiot he tried to run for re-election). The GOP hemorraged seats in the legislature during his tenure which led to a complete trainwreck in 2011. The GOP was at a disadvantage for the decade with a batch of districts that looked like an expressionist painting on crack. Gibbons also gave us Brian Sandoval.

While Sandoval was popular, he was a Republican in the mold of Susan Collins. When Brian Sandoval abused the GOP surge in Nevada – a rare time when the GOP had all the constitutional offices and somehow had both houses of the legislature under GOP control… he did what big government Republicans do. On attempt 3, with attempt 1 and 2 failing in 2011 and 2013 with the dems in control of both houses of the legislature, with the GOP in control of both houses, Governor Sandoval and crew pushed through the largest tax increase in state history.

Guess what happened in 2016 and 2018? Republicans were damn near hunted in to extinction in Nevada, this is what happens when Republicans rig up massive tax increases. In 2018 Steve Sisolini was elected governor. In 2020, with Sisolini as Governor and the GOP barely relevant in the Nevada Legislature, they drew up the current maps that were designed to give them a supermajority in the legislature!

The maps are so bad that in GOP got 100,000 more votes for legislative seats and the dems are 1 seat in each house away from a supermajority!

There is a reason for the rise of populist Republicans like Donald Trump. A generation of us kept getting told we are the party of blah, blah, blah – then we get a majority and go full Sandoval. Despite my reservations about Donald Trump, his second term is what I wished Reagan, or either Bush were.

GOP Registration is surging because there are people in charge of the country that are acutally doing stuff people want. Firing bureaucrats, putting thugs in jail, deporting people that are stealing jobs, restoring sanity to education, fighting corruption – you name it. Not campaigning on values then abusing power to do the same crap you’ve seen you’re whole life. GOP Registration is surging because of national issues and the people in Nevada better start changing what they are doing so they can latch on to that momentum before it dissipates.

Meantime the deuce and his crew in the media call the registration numbers symbolic. Let’s hope that idiocy continues as long as possible so our local leaders have enough time to get over themselves and adapt.
